Final: MMM2 vs AZ (MMM2 won by 1 run in super over)

    The scores were as follow:

    Azad- 96/7 (20 overs)

    MMM2-96/8 (20 overs)

    Super Over: MMM2- 9/1 Azad- 8/1

The cricket final between two extremely dominant sides of the tournament proved to be an absolute thriller. On a mildly sunny day, both the sides played their heart out and dished out a spectacle of a match, to an extent that a super over was needed to decide the winner.

Batting first, Azad's batsmen were kept pretty much in check by the bowlers of MMM yet they managed to score at a steady pace and reached a total of 96 runs. Chasing 97, MMM's batsmen were expected to make through easily but a relentless show by the bowlers from Azad applied brakes on the MMM line up as only three runs were scored in the twelve balls of the 15th and 16th over. At the end of 16 overs, the match looked quite in the balance as MMM needed to score 34 runs off the final 24 balls with 7 wickets in hand. However, MMM smacked a few boundaries in a row to come back into the game. Needing 8 off the final over, there were successive run-outs leading to three runs needed off the final ball. The batsmen scrambled for a double and tied the match at 96 runs.

The match went into the Super Over where MMM batting first, had scored only 1 run off the first three balls with one man down, just then 8 runs came off the next three giving Azad a challenging 10 runs to chase. Azad needed 4 off the final delivery but managed only a double. This meant heartbreak for Azad as they fell short by the narrowest of margins and MMM won the high-intensity final!
